Hi all, had a beautiful day for flying up north today. Flew over my son's place where he is building another garage at his place. He is about 30 miles west of me. On the way back, I heard a couple of guys on the radio and they were flying to a strip about 25 miles north of me. I said I would fly up and meet them. As they were flying over a big swamp, one of them spotted 3 moose. We met up at a nice grass strip about 5 miles north of the moose. On the way back the same guy spotted the moose (he Knew where to look) and I was able to get a few pictures of them. The light was starting to go so the camera wanted to use the flash so the pics of the moose didn't come out well, but I was able to lighten the better one with the computer to post it here. Then the guy that spotted the moose flew up alongside me so I got a close up of his SuperCub. I'm going back to look for the moose tomorrow, maybe I can get some better pics. Boy this flying stufff is fun!!! Take care all, Jim Chuk

Thanks for the post Jim, looks like you guys have already lost all your colorful leaves. Ours in Kansas are just starting to turn. Fall colors make for a pretty time to fly. I really like all the seasonal changes that add variety to what we see through our windscreens.

Thanks for the replys guys, I have a feeling I'm going to get a ride in that Cub one of these days. I'm renting (real cheap too) my D6 cat to him and another guy that lives about 1 1/2 miles from me. They are going to put in a strip. I'm going to walk the cat over through the woods on Friday. They will be having lots of fun with the cat so I should end up with some time in the Supercub or the other guys PA12. Most of our leaves fell off about 2 weeks ago. They were pretty for a bit but it didn't last long. Take care, Jim Chuk

Sounds like good times Jim! They say hours spent flying aren't deducted from one's lifespan.
Oh, and I'll be more than happy to trade you some Minimax time for some D6 time!!

Hi Ken, as soon as these guys are done with my cat, I'll take you up on it: that is if we can walk the cat through the woods to your place. LOL take care, Jim Chuk
