Got the plane home to selby today it had been at a near by and much longer airport. Found a great instructor and paid him what seemed like almost no money to get me more comfortable in the airplane and he got me to where I could land the Tcraft on the 1300 ft selby field with hundreds of ft left... so good day for me... hope the my MiniMax was up in the air today... was a great day in kansas... got to take a couple pot shots at a hun as he cut in front of me on landing... down in flames he went

What kind of plane did you get home? I just finished painting my fuselage for my minimax today. Gonna bring it back in the basement tomorrow and re-assemble it. Gotta get it on the scales to find my cg. Good luck with your new plane!

Bought a 46 Tcraft with a 85 cont in it and all the extras radio transponder ELT and more gauges then I know what to do with.. was worried about landing it on only 1300 ft but that turned out to be a non problem. Still miss my MiniMax especially when I went to put the huge wingspread tcraft in my old spot... guess I will have to start building one just to kill my Max fix.

So your Talorcraft is now parked next to my AirBike? That plane will seem huge next mine! Sure glad you can now get in and out of Selby field. Your pilot accomplishments continue to climb and you certainly are extending your flying range. More of that to come I hope!
I have not been at the aerodrome since Nov. 14th, but now that your plane is there, I might just need to make the trip so I can see your bird. Saturday was a great day to fly, I had houseguests for the holiday and that took priority over any aviation activities. However I did teach my 6-year old grandson how to fly his rubber powered airplane! Great fun!
Keep shooting at those Huns Avenger, with your larger plane, you can now carry more firepower.

Paul the plane if very solid.. but the paint is very weak, will get it painted this winter and it will be a great plane. Took a bit of work to get it into the hangar for sure. Will get some pictures of it for here soon.

My neighbor has a nice Tcraft. He fully restored it a couple of yrs ago. I will have to take some pics of it soon for you. Good luck with it.
I just got my fuselage back in my basement and will start assembling tonight. When it comes to planes, I'm like a little kid at Christmas.
