Hi Guys,

Currently taking some annual leave from work, so headed for the hanger and completed some maintenance on 'Maggie Mae' -( Silver Minimax 1500R).

There were a few showers about and managed one resonable photo of the airfeild...hmm the rest were blurred..lol..!

and its nice to know I can still fly..and I scored a couple of three pointers......and a few bounces...all in 2 hours in the dry.

Enjoy the photo

Arthur, haven't heard from you in awhile.  Glad to  lean that you haven't forgotten how to fly!  Sort of like riding a bicycle (or other  things for  that matter), you just never forget how.  Keep the pointy end forward.

I just wish we could transport your runways to our field looks like you can land in any direction so minimal crosswinds.
The light at the end of the tunnel has been sold to China, if you need the light at the end of the tunnel please send 100 Yen.

Yes we can land every 45 degrees of the compass...so Im spoilt...the longest runway is a  1100 meters and the shortest is 500 meters...the trees are 30 feet high and can cause some problems when the winds are strong....however displacing the threshold is often wise under those conditions.

we often land in a cross wind ,just for the practice.

Powered parachutes operate from the circle in the centre as they need to take off into wind every time.

And I think we only have room for two more hangers under club rules....such is life...?

Now to fly the rans6S.....need a battery..

Does the rule limit the size of the hanger?
Arthur WithyOctober 9, 2011, 6:39am
Yes..it was 60 feet by 80 feet was the largest....but now they say its 40 feet by 40 feet....which you can get 2 aircraft into comfortably..and a 3rd if you sqeeze..with careful planning.

Heres a 40 by 40 I built 18 years ago..yes its red...because the material was cheap.
