The sun is beginning to heat the air and my leather jacket is almost too much. But soon I will be 800 ft. above the crop circles, where the morning air is still cool and smelling of Alfalfa in the open cockpit. I know the weary drivers of the trucks and cars below me on busy Interstate 40 are gazing up with envy, at the little plane floating through the sky with the soaring creatures. Life is good.

Ah, the essence of flying our little planes! You have a wonderful attitude Bill, may the wind always be at your back.

very nice, i wish i had just flown my max tonight but had a friend who needed some help on a ppc so i worked on it and was supposed to test fly it but the winds never died down quite enough, i love to fly a ppc and will whenever i get a chance but even as light as our maxs are they still can fly more often then the ppcs. get some flight time in for me too bill
Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return

Sure wish I had some nice cool air at 800 ft AGL out here in SoCal!! Our temps have been in the 100-105 range with density altitudes of 4800-5100 ASL for the last couple of weeks. My poor little Max with it's 377 climbs at about 50 fpm and overheats in the process so I'm giving it arest until the weather cools down a bit. Hope all you Buzzards in cooler climes have a great flying summer!

claude,
Here in the midwest we just got a brief cool down and hope it last but man the thermals are killers, low wind but the thermals knock you left and right for sure. I flew yesterday and go another hour and got back and landed before weather front came through. It was bumpy but got a little more air time.

OK Coop, you're just trying to make the rest of us jealous. lol Hope you have a good snowmobile suit for those MI winters ? On the other hand I hope you are so busy filling orders that you have trouble finding the spare time to build. Just kidding, everybody needs some time off.
