Went to Triple Tree fly-in in Woodruff SC today. Nice assortment of GA aircraft but I was a bit disappointed that there was not more of the light stuff. I was hoping to see a Max or two but they must have all been out in the fringes of TT airspace guarding the field from the Huns. Fantastic "Airdrome".

Saw the bones of a Max in Sweetwater Tn. The stab was rounded and the covering had an iron cross on it. Be careful in the sky's all of you Max pilots that guy might be an "undercover" Hun. TT was probably 98% GA stuff, not much excitement there. Lots of unimaginative spam cans. Needed the Maxes there to show what the real airplane builders can accomplish. Neatest thing I saw (Piets excepted) was the DC-3 of my old friend. RIP Coke. It would be really neat, next year, to see a bunch of Maxes arrive as a squadron....smoke flowing and guns blazing. lol
