Ricardo, Very nice vid ! Tell me what sort of agriculture you have there ? It looks like a very extensive industrially maintained one. Lots of fruit trees. What fruits ? Its fun to see the ground obstacles in so many countries around the world kangoroos, cornfield, bears, cows-
You always land with tailwind ?
Merry Christmas to all you guys !
Thanks PK.
Answering your questions, yes, this is a very fertile valley. There's a river that comes down from the Andes bringing irrigation water all year long. Main orchards are avocados (Hass variety) and tangerines. They are for export. There's also lots of corn that they plant any time of the year because the climate makes it possible, you can see corn fields of different ages showing a variety of green tones. They also grow asparragous, grapes, artichokes, cotton, beans, yuca, potato, sweet potato, pumpking, peaches, etc. List is long.
Some rich people bought land here to bread racehorses; we are only 1.5 hours south of Lima where they race. There are some textile factories, fruit packing plants, among other activities.
I'll try to film some other areas such as the river, old haciendas and the sea shore, also small hills and the mountain side which I highly respect. Yes, is a fun place to fly and the Minimax is the only plane in the area!
Regarding the landing, after 5 pm there's almost no wind, nothing to worry about.
A picture shows the camera mounted on the landing gear, and couple more pics, not to sharp but better than nothing. LOL.
