Can anyone identify this sort of mix between a Minimax and Airbike?

Wow.  That's truly an odd one.

Thanks for sharing

Isn't that a team design called the NIson EZE that never made it into production because of slow speed handling problems?

Chris
When in doubt just use full throttle.... it might not help but it will end the suspense.

Wayne had the nison ez at T-top when I was there and that's not even close..

Just think if he was wearing Bell Bottoms!

I would have never thought of making something like that! The exhaust is not in the best of positions. Good find.

This is where  airbike and aeromax evolved?

Just looking that's the 3 Stars of the Tennessee Flag on the side of the plane.....
Wonder who the pilot is........

Not for sure ,but I think the EZE- MAX became the NISON- EZE.
This may be Wayne himself in/on the cockpit.
It was miniMAX wings and tail with a profile fuselage. It did go through some testing, but never proved out as I understand it.

a mile of road will take you a mile, a mile of runway can take you anywhere.

Just for the curiosity, were went this prototype, in which storage, or did it end up as a barbecue light up wood?

wondering how this bird would have performed with struts instead of all the wires!
erkki67July 6, 2025, 9:41am
otherwise a steel overhead structure like on the Airbike, and voila a new economy bird!

I'm wondering if the addition of inner fence plates would had corrected the problems?

" Like many who
saw the EZE-Max, Scott had been drawn to the simple machine. However, it had flight problems that caused
it to be withdrawn before any were produced.
By moving the wing above the pilot's head and closing the open center section, thought to be the root of the
problem, and by adding a welded steel structure, the ill-fated EZE-Max was transformed into the well
received Air-Bike. "
