Its not a flying story, but not advertisment either, Minimax-Himax related but not technically.
In an other day I heard of Couchsurfing and Wooff. Google it to see whats they are about...
What if we would implement some of this into international experimental aviation ?
Based on that It came into my mind that now I have 1 Mini-, two Himaxes and a two seater STOL. I cant really fly them all at the same time. I traveled a lot and I really enjoy talking to other guys with the same interest.
What is your opinion about voluntary participation and founding a flyers network where we more or less know each other at least from forums and thinking about low cost and enjoyable holidays.
One thing is for sure that major expense is flight ticket- we cant make the cheaper for sure. But... what if who would liket to share their home and aircraft with others and taking them around could offer these possibilities. In return they can go to an others places and do the same thing-
From Spring time I would consider to welcome some of you guys here and with good references, recommendation and after a check ride I would let you guys fly my Maxes.
Question is how would that work ?
Renting per hour wet? (nothing is special in that) or in return I could fly yours ??? I dont really like to open a rental company since than I would obliged to do it as a business. And I dont really want to let anyone fly either.... and definately dont want people around who are dangerous...
I am sure we all can tell about interesting things and places to visit in each -others places.
I guess we are not really rich people here but we can make things really affordable and enjoyable for holidays.
Do you like the idea at all sharing homes for holiday and aircrafts or its just a weird bad idea from me ?
