Here some pictures taken last Saturday. The river  is at its lowest level, in January it will reach its peak.
The plane is just a joy to fly....early in the morning or late in the afternoon

I always like Ricardo's pics...........he can go out and fly and come back with pics of green land, river, ocean and desert all in a flight.  All I can come back with is green land, rivers, lakes and small
mountains.

I really enjoyed your photos Ricardo.  You must be about 200-300 feet AGL. Watch out for towers! And birds! You sure are getting some mileae oug of your Go Pro camera!

I made a 1/2 hr test flight yesterday following completion of my engine rebuild and frame repair.  It felt good to fly after being down for three months!  More later on another thread.

You ever mount that GoPro on the top of your canopy?

A cam for my plane is on my Xmas list.  Anybody need my address? LOL

I got to fly on Saturday for about 40 min doing nothing but take offs and landings.  I just LOVE it that's the best part to me!!  Woke up the next
morning to a white runway about a inch of fresh s&#$!   The other S word!!

Great pics !!! I wonder if you can go under the bridge filming    Nooooo .... just kiddin...
Here are some typical Transylvanian areal photo of my small farm area.  My elevation is 840 m AMSL, the other side of the "hill" is a basin with two towns, and usually the coldest point in Romania in the winter reaching -40 C. But spring and especially fall its very often blanketed. But you see this as you are over the near 2000 m AMSL (6500 ft)  hills. The last pics is my 600 ft  strip runway with my little cottage, right next to the wing strut.

I enjoy seeing everyone's pictures.

Wow Peter, it sure is beautiful there. Here in southern California I get nothing but houses! It would make for an interesting engine out for sure.

But really, beautiful flying there.

I'm glad you guys like the pictures, is always a motivation , will try other camera angles. On top of the canopy doesn't get a good shot and the wind effect is too high
Nice pictures Peter!  Beautifull plane. The landscape with  the forest keeps you high for an emergency landing on the other side of the mountain. I also noticed you have  fairings for the front struts,  why not for the rear also?
I enjoy low flying around  600' AGL the pictures posted where just for a close up view.
Also very tempted to go under the bridge, there's enough room for the Max ....... not a smart move, but it keeps tempting

Tempting.... aha...
I had a very relaxed glider instructor 30 year ago, and we went to a corkscrew spin testing and recovery as part of the training. We were doing 2 left, two right and some more and we were heading back home. All of a sudden we had very severe downdrifts and there was a big 150K VOlt electricity line at the front of us before the airport. My instructor said very slowly and very calm.:
Pete .... what do you think .... above ?........... or.... maybe ...... under ?

Anyway on that pics, I ve never been so high. I wanted to cross the mountains but since the fog I turned back, and simply kept the altitude to fly into an other direction.
Why not back strut fairing ? Since I turned the exhaust pipe sideways it glides very well, I dont want better than that, its already a challange to glide the conture of the hills and put the little one on my 600 feet napkin. Anyhow if there is no headwind I need to slip very heavy and keep my speed well under 90 km/h.

The problem with flying under bridges is that big old "N" number (or whatever your country's ID system is) can be read by those "spoil sports" riding on top of the bridge that are thrilled at the chance to turn you in. And now with all of those cell phones they can take a picture to prove it.  Yeah, I know all of the safety concerns & risks and don't encourage such activities that would give us a bad name.

Part 103 is the solution. No training, no registration, no experience, no fear.
Sure its a stupid move !.... Just kidding
tjspindlerNovember 22, 2013, 8:01pm
The Wright Brothers first flights were stupid moves to most people too!
Just a thought.  LOL

I have flown under bridges a couple of times and wish I had a video of it.

Really great pictures guys, thanks for posting. This technology thing gets better and better. It shrinks the world we live in and makes us all neighbors.

Careful bud, the NSA might monitor the ETLB site and share that confession with the FAA (Foolish Aviation Administration.)
