This flight was incredible smooth over land and I flew to several places, flying over water is always bumpless. Took off at 7:00 am and went straight to the north coast, summer is around the corner, you can see so many seagulls on the shore line flying away as soon as the Minimax approaches, they always scape towards the sea, I think I can land on the beach... and take a bath for sure. That sand is very hard near the shore, just got to be sure not hit any lonely fisherman.

Cool video Ricardo! Judging from the image of the horizon, you are getting pretty close to the edge of the earth, be careful that you don't fall off, there is no air there!

i had the same thoughts several times watching videos. i would be very tempted to set it down on the beach but wondered hows a tail wheel in sand??
You don't need to know anything about flying inorder to pilot a plane. You do need to know something about flying fly inorder to pilot a plane twice!

Thanks for the help Harless & Mike.
Had a friend who flew a Chinook UL (tailwheel) and landed on the sandbars in the local river all the time. Others with similar UL's did it with him. Haven't lost one yet..........

Sean: remember to get your tailwheel transition training..... How's the Taxiing with the MiniMax coming?
AC1600RDecember 9, 2013, 3:17pm
For sure. I haven't began the taxi testing yet, I am going to wait until I finish my PPL first which should be by the first week of February. Then, while I am working on the tailwheel endorsement I will be practicing taxiing the Max.

Hi Ricardo;
Your video's are great. Such a beautiful country. I am not used to seeing a beach with out 1000 people on it, LOL. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Peter, you had to mention sea food, LOL. I love sea food. My dad ran a fish and chip shop in Dundee Scotland before he came to the states in 1929. I guess it is in my genes.
Thanks Ricardo, and Peter, LOL.

Nice camera set-up in your flying angle perfect for this awesome scenery. Ideal playground and more with unlimited landing strip!
Thanks for sharing Ricardo.

I'm glad you liked it guys. I was wandering which camera view looks better, this last video or the other showing the entire plane. I know neither plane and pilot are showroom models but maybe some of you like to watch the Minimax view and others just the scenary.
Yes sea food is the best here, ever heard of "ceviche" ? The ocean is plancton rich and all kind of fish and sea food is available.
