The video was taken last Nov. I've placed some pictures of this flight before on another thread.
The scenary shows: The delta river with its lowest water level (I'll post a picture in January, you won't believe the difference), an old castle from an ancient sugar plantation, land reform in 1970 ended up destroying the majority of these old haciendas and the district capital, Other views show: A hospital under construction, crossing over the high dry mountains where shanty towns of poor people invaded government land to have a home near the valley most important but not largest town. Last 1.5 minutes is flying on final.

I'm sorry my friend. I did not mean to upset you. Let's keep politics away from aviation. Was just commenting on the topographical features were similar. Give yourself a big hug from me. -Mike

Mike: LOL it would take a lot more than that to upset our friend Ricardo. We do like to rib each other on the forum so 99.9 % of us take each others comments as playful joking around........and we ignore that other .1%. LOL

Hello guys,
I was not upset at all, my comment was not meant to be taken seriously. In 1879, Peru, Chile and Bolivia were involved in a war which significantly changed the shape of the countries involved: Bolivia lost its access to the ocean, Peru had territories conquered by Chile and Chile as a result became a larger country. Ever since then, there has been some tension between Peru and Chile. This is where the comment was coming from.

That is why I like this forum so much. No one takes itself too seriously! I am not a full scale pilot, but fly RC (I know that many of you guys started that way. Maybe I will follow) and of all of the forums that I belong to, this is the one I enjoy the most. Only once in a blue moon does anything negative come up.

I started flying RC as well but have always wanted to fly. When I was old enough to know what an airplane was, I wanted to fly!!! Now I can say that I do and love it.

Thanks to TEO for the history lesson. I've always liked history but can honestly say there was very little mentioned in any of my history classes about our neighbor to the south. Sadly most of the kids in school now don't even get as much as my generation did. Of course my smart alec kids always told me that when I went to school history was a 12 page book........
Enjoyed the article.
