LHDK is one of the biggest airfield. Two soaring club with winching at two sides with two landing strips and one for the single engine in the midle fits there. I leared soaring there 31 years ago. The airport is in operation since 1944.
The recent history is somewhat troubled since some politicians tried to  sell it out first as new housing plots, than they wanted to build 10 soccer field on it. It seems that now its re-settled as airport but still very unstable situation, 180 days local permission to fly from there e.t.c....

It should be snow all over the place in mid February, but today we are going to have probably a heat record of 17 C.
Its rather spring.

It seems the the eastern and western hemispheres have traded weather patterns this winter. It seems that Siberia is pretty mild too.

if you are really heartbroken and want snow i will mail you some....i am down right sick of by now!  we are having the worse winter in years....cant wait for the floods this spring!
You don't need to know anything about flying inorder to pilot a plane.  You do need to know something about flying fly inorder to pilot a plane twice!
