The Sky is Falling!
Saturday was an unusual day, we thought as Chicken Little did, that the sky was falling.
In reality that meant (ICT) ASOS pronounced the wind to be at 170 and 3 kts. with temperature hovering around 68 degrees. That means right down the runway and the windsock was pointing towards the ground! Hence: the sky was falling. This was not a day to pass up, we needed to do some plain 'ole recreational flying around the patch.
A phone call to Wayne Clevenger put things into action for us to fly together. The Annual Condition Inspection on Andy's plane was done that morning but he was still hooking up his switches for all the newly installed lights.
Wayne and I flew separately for awhile then joined up for some photography. Below are those photos taken from my AirBike.
