a mile of road will take you a mile, a mile of runway can take you anywhere.

That corn is so tall it should block the wind. Glad to see your problem is solved.

corn not worth anything anyway

I hope this is not your runway but a taxiway only......

Its the field lane out to my runway. Its a lane that cuts through the grove of trees out to the field and my runway. Every other year corn is planted on both sides(we rotate crops between corn and soybeans) and I always plant to close to the lane especially right there. Its ok until the corn gets tall. My pickup is sitting on the runway.

I wish I could chop off some plants for extra lanes and so, but land is very expensive here to do so. I have  a runway  because a gas pipe line  was installed  through my land, they chopped some fruit trees and I cannot plant on top of that any more. I make them pay for that and I was very happy with the  final deal.
A  month ago some friends came to visit and they have to park at the runway edge and place the tail between tree rows.

Nice crop of good looking planes Ricardo.  Did you have a fly-in cook-out or did they just converge on your place for a visit?

Hi Paul: They all came  for a visit  from their local airfield near Lima, is  a 45 minutes coast fly only, we had lunch at a local restaurant called "El Piloto" famous for the excelent food.
They were vey happy with the journey, the food and of course "the host" promissing to return soon.
Unfortunatelly my Minimax was not ready to fly.

Nice Ricardo, its always nice to have fly-in visitors. You have a nice field.

I used to fly from a 75' wide runway with corn like that on both edges.  Felt like you were landing in an alley!

  Charlie,
My runway is 75' wide and before things changed on this farm I had corn on both sides every other year. It was ok unless there was much of a cross wind. The wind coming over the corn made landings really uncomfortable.

I downloaded this video of my friends leaving the airstrip. Not too much coordination for the take off and there's always some idiot trying to show off.
Sorry for the low quality video but even worst for not showing my Minimax in action,
