Should be good for landing in rough areas..........
bobnafeJanuary 5, 2015, 1:45pm
Like it. Shoes for rough fields, skates for ice, roller blades for hard surface, skis for snow, rubber fins for water.  Excellent brakes?

Anybody noticed that the wing is now fully cantilevered?  That is a major structural change...

A Buzzards version of Fred Flintstone???
YABBA DABBA DO!!!!
No bounce with that setup

a mile of road will take you a mile, a mile of runway can take you anywhere.

So....do you "heel" land it or go for 3-pointers?

If he comes in too hot, he will have to "tippy toe". Great stuff. You made me laugh out loud in a quiet shop.

Fly safe and have fun.

Everything in aviation is a compromise.....LOL

Yes the "NEW" wing spar is so heavy that the weight of wheels and my shoes was not in within safe operating limits...and the fact Ive stubbed my toes a few times .....bandaids hardly weigh anything...LOL

Yabba dabba...DO...!!
fiebichpvJanuary 6, 2015, 3:11pm
Not only have you made a weight savings but you streamlined it by removing the struts and adding retractable gear . Nice! Also, it looks as those brake shoes have a lot of landings designed into them.

Too funny!!!

A James Bond design. You can land anywhere (plane included) with a personal chute on your back. TAke off on any kind of terrain thanks to your new MPRLG (Multi Purpose Retractable Landing Gear)

Love it!  Brings a whole new meaning to 'hang ten'

There sure a lot of people on this board who are clever with words!  I enjoy reading the comments.  See what you started Arthur?

Hey Paul that was the point

This stuff is 35K EUR and made in Switzerland, so if swiss liars are after you, your in trouble mate....
Arthur WithyJanuary 7, 2015, 10:03am
Yes I know....but mine has a motor which does complicate things a little....and besides silver aircraft fly better...ask anyone from the 1930's....LOL
GarykJanuary 7, 2015, 11:25pm
When the Hun's get a look at that fearsome aircraft they will turn away in fear. The landing gear alone is enough to strike terror into the heart of their bravest aviators, even the vaunted Red Barron himself. I would bet that "Q", of James Bond fame, could find a way of incorporating a weapon's system into that fancy undercarriage. At a minimum he could route some pluming down that "leg" strut to eliminate having to land for a pit stop. Are you negotiating with TEAM for proper compensation if they incorporate your design mods ?? TTT might handle the legalities on this side of the pond for you..........you might need that if the guy in CA who designed the GOAT glider gets wind of the ETLB forum. lol

You guy's are a barrel of laughs.  Great comments, love it.    (I've heard that the Barron was hiding in South America)

DON'T COMPLAIN ABOUT GROWING OLDER, IT'S A PRIVILEGE DENIED TO MANY.
jjwebrJanuary 8, 2015, 12:39am
is that a v4 2stroke,  250 horsepower, no struts,  adjustable landing gear,  great stuff from all  Lol
PhilJanuary 8, 2015, 1:08am
Arthur, you're a $B man on that bionic Retractable  Landing Legs. I bet another concept with Retractable Wings can set speed
record in this world of aeronautics

Could have saved a lot of weight if you had stockings and a light pair of shoes there Arthur, but good idea.

How does it handle rough field ops?
Can you get tundra toes for off-airport operations?
