This is one of those days I wish I had 15 gal. of fuel. The temp was cool and light winds so I made a flight to lake spence which is about 30 mi. from the airpark. This lake was almost dry until we got the rain and now it's looks good.

Glad your water table is up but sorry you got all the rain is such a short time span. Hope you fared well. I experienced one of those sudden thunderstorm in Lubbock once and had water halfway up the car door in a very few minutes. Scary feeling.
DON'T COMPLAIN ABOUT GROWING OLDER, IT'S A PRIVILEGE DENIED TO MANY.

I'm glad the lakes are up too......probably WAY up CA could use some lake-filling rain too I guess. Is that an airstrip on the right side of your picture, just ahead of the wing's leading edge?

Lynn that is 54F in Robert Lee, it's a paved and narrow landing strip. Just a wind sock and asphalt ( 4500 ft. ) not maintained very well.

Monte, you dirty dog. You're in the air.
Hope you've enjoyed this week. Won't be better flying wx for a while after this heats up. I'm stuck on the ground. Oh, well.

I flew yesterday also, it was gray day .... a large picture improves things.

Here in Texas I usually fly in the morning to take advantage of the cool dense air. In the heat of the day we get lots of dust devils which are hard to see and can be hard to recover from. Nice pict Ricardo.

Monte:
Down here you can fly 99% of the time ,there's no rain , no extreme temps, no storms. Worst thing is high winds or low fog that always dissipates during the morning.
I still prefer the early and late day hours just to float up in the air.
