The adventures continue... cut my West to East XC trip in Mooney short due to an engine "issue." Long story short and over simplified, but contaminated fuel system created not only suspicious rough running of engine; but a "near" engine out 200 feet AGL. Engine surged 4-5 times as I porpoised around the pattern to get back on the ground (when engine cut I pushed nose over, when it resumed I climbed to gain altitude). I'll write up the details sometime; but I'd be just fine if I never experience that again...
On a brighter note; Gave a bunch of rides/1st time experiences this summer/fall to folks. Have a lot of smiles on video I hope to compile into a video soon. In the meantime, one of my co-pilots did a nice job of capturing the essence and putting his flight to music...

Why focus on proving how great you are, when you could focus on becoming better?...
