I was flying my Eindecker yesterday when the aileron control jammed solid. I wasn't able to move the ailerons in the slightest. The plane was still very controllable using just the rudder for steering and the landing was "normal".
The problem was due to the back of the pilot seat slipping out of its mount and jamming the aileron linkage. I'm going to have to redo the seat mounts to be much more secure.

Glad you made a successful landing Charlie....if you had a teleflex failure we would bring some life back in this forum.

WOW I am happy that everything turned out well for you! Hope you can come up with a good fix before the next flight.

HOLY SMOKES !!! The Limey almost got you. (You're flying for the Huns, are you not?) If that bullet had been a little farther forward it would have been lilies and liquor (for the toasts).
Is your blood pressure medicine effective?
Hope you don't have any more unscheduled excitement.
Congrats on handling the unexpected so well.

Wow Great save! But throw the underwear away your wife doesn't need to know about this little event

You know at the time the airplane was still very controllable....so I didn't really feel in danger at all. Later, after thinking about what could have happened I got a bit nervous. If the controls had jammed in a banked turn it could have ended much worse.
