Beautiful day back in September of 16

Just a video of aviating on a nice day.

Titles are for locals that wonder what things look like from up there and for anyone interested in what southeast Texas really looks like if one goes toward the Gulf Coast from DAS or T-78.

Someone asked about a walk-around video. I finally remembered that, but it will have to wait a couple of weeks as I just had a cataract removed and can't lift or pull for a while so can't get THE FLAG out of the shed.

Hope you enjoy.

BTW, those of you who are new to tailwheel flying, at the very start of the video, during the takeoff, pay close attention to the movement of the rudder pedal just visible under the rear of the engine. It is small and hard to see; right behind the oil cooler. This was a not a terribly windy day, but you might notice that there were many short movements to keep things straight. Just a hint.

You are right Bert, it was a beautiful day to fly: blue sky, white clouds, green grass, terrain changes and no mountains to spoil the view! BTW, when do you put your left foot back on the rudder pedal, where do you keep it while flying?

Thanks for posting, we needed that!

Thank you.
The rudder pedal that is visible in the video is the front pedal. I fly from the back because that is the way it was set up when I bought the plane, but that also makes the C.G. work.

Working on my tailwheel now. I'll remember to take my dancing shoes.
