Back in '89, I travelled from the UK to America to help with an engine change on the Collings Foundation Mitchell B25 Bomber. When I told Bob Collings that my Father had flown them during WW2 he straightaway said "Well gee, you have to fly her".... So here are some photos of a real red letter day in my life. These photos were taken at Manchester NH.

We were due to fly down to New York for part of a film shoot but developed oil pressure problems and had to return, but I got my backside up there anyway!

That must have been a really good time and worth remembering for the rest of your life.

It was a hell of a few days! My pal who I was staying with fell off the wing and broke his leg badly. I ended up looking after his hound until his brother turned up. I got laid (Anglo American relations)   I had the privilege of working with Tom Riley of Tom Reilly Aircraft at Kissemee (he was Collings Chief Eng) and I also got to enjoy a superb hangar party where they had Budweiser Trucks and dustbins of Maine Lobsters! Yep, I won't forget that trip in a hurry!
