A few pics from my area.
1- Glad to be back in the air again! GoPro attached to the leading edge didn' work 😕
2- The little portable voltmeter I bought for a few $ is plugged into a lighter socket I have on the panel side (for some reason the #1 for 12.3 volts didn't show in the pic) a good way to find how healthy is the battery.
3- Since light aircraft registration is free to each private runway I tested an "experimental".   Any ideas ?
4- Enjoying a summer day at a local beach

Hello Ricardo,

I don't recognize the beach, is it close to Canete?  Back in the day, we only used to go as far South as Santa Maria but Lima has grown so much that people now go much further South.

You gotta love that beach. Hope decent weather holds so you can get some air time. Thanks for the post.

Hi Teo, the place is called Totoritas (near Mala) half way to Cañete. Most beaches have turned into beach resorts.

Thanks.  I did not know the beach.  The amount of development South of the city has been crazy.  There are very few public beaches left.  Most of what I remember is from my trips to Ica as a kid. Does el Piloto restaurant still exist?  it used to be just outside Canete and it was a mandatory stop on the way to Ica.

Thanks for the pictures.

I have a good friend who is with a university in Lima. I met him about 1971 when he was in Beaumont, Texas, taking his PHD in chemical engineering. He and his wife later lived in our home for about a year while we were away. He has never shown us pictures of the beaches. Let's see, if our only luggage was for suntan lotion and bathing suites, at 60 mph could we fly down in one summer? Hm-m-m-mm.

You may have to fly IFR to make it all of the way down there.  You know "I Follow Roads".  Just follow the Pan American highway.  You could probably land on it to refuel as well.  Just be  careful as you go through Honduras...Northern Peru also has some very nice beaches so you may not have to go all of the way to Lima...

This is an old video. The camera  was placed on the horizontal stabilizer and at full power it shakes too much.  Still an interesting angle view.

I saw your low flight video from 2013. That was great.

I didn't realize those were guacamole orchards. Now I will think of you every time I'm feasting on chips and dip while waiting for my Tex-Mex (or MezTex) dinner.

Ricardo:
Had real Mexican gordita with avocado slices atop the pico de gallo for lunch today. Hope that helps you buy some gas, anyway.
I just started eating avocado two or three years ago. An old dog can learn new tricks.
