Some friends flew in last saturday from Lima to have lunch at the famous Restaurant "El Piloto"
What started as an overcast day ended up with sunny skies.
It might surprise you that all these planes are UL

HI Ricardo;
Great stuff. Looks like you had a great time with your friends. Bunch of good looking planes too. Don't ever stop with your pictures and videos. It is inspiration to a lot of people on this board. Between you and Paul, and a lot of others, just great work and dedication to helping others, Thanks.
Bob
Fly safe and have fun.

Ricardo, Yes, Great photos. Ultra Lights Peru rules right?
Not USA rules (as in under 254 pounds empty weight) TTT

Ultra lights in Australia are 544 kg (land based seaplanes are extra)..but do require a licence...ie but no transponders...and usually remain outside controlled airspace....but you can fill out the paper work and fly in controlled space..Ive done it several times even landing at the local military base..Edinburgh

An UL here in Peru is almost any two seater lighter than a Cessna 152. Nobody really inspects those planes. There are so few airplanes in Peru no one really cares.
Local UL clubs, probably no more than 10 nationwide, issue pilot's licenses but if you are a Lonesome Buzzard (like me) the license is not necessary neither an aircraft ID. They think of ULs as a dune buggy. There are some basic flying regulations concerning safety so if you don't cause any problems you're OK
