Wire locking of certain critical hardware components in the Max has been referred to at various parts of the build manual.
Also seen that some builders wire-lock additional parts not recommended specifically in the manual. Nothing wrong with that, and knowing these non-standard mods on wire-lock, may in fact provide other builders with additional options, if they so desire.
It would be nice to make a check list of parts to be wire locked to help future builders, and also to aid those already flying, at time of periodic inspections.
A few parts that come to mind:
Turn buckles on rudder
Turn buckles on tail wheel cable
Elevator cable ( sleeve lock at both ends)
Elevator and aileron cables - wire lock at anchor points to air-frame ( Total 6 points- one on each end of all 3 cables )
Wirelock / lock with cotter pin, clevis bolts (2) on rudder horn.
Wirelock / lock with cotter pin, clevis bolts (5) on rudder and elevator hinges - [only for light tail.]
Suggestions welcome to add to this list.
( In case such a list already exists, would appreciate a link to it. )
Thanks
