The FAA inspector visited my house today and issued my airworthyness and repairman certificates!
Unlike Brian's experience I found my local FSDO very helpful and eager to get things done. I first called them a couple weeks ago.
I've always liked the USAF Thunderbirds and after spending countless hours with my fellow Buzzards here the idea for the color scheme of my "Thunder Buzzard" was born. Beyond looking great this is a tribute to all my fellow Buzzards who have freely shared their knowledge and stories on LonesomeBuzzards.com.
To complete the looks I asked Marc Randall if I could copy the ETLB logo he designed and put it on the airplane. While I have the logo cut out in vinyl I want to wait until a warmer day before attaching it. Planning to put it on the left wing.
Thanks go out to all of you for the inspiration and knowledge that helped make this accomplishment possible!
