Post #1 - the first bit of parts made it to my hanger (one car garage)

- Kit Info -

Plan No. - 1838P
Plan Date: 6-20-95
Model No. 1100R
Serial No. SN941

The rest of the kit along with the 90% left wing and right ribs and spar
will be in my hangar this Saturday weather permitting the open trailer 4 hour drive
just looking at the vertical stabilizer i am growing concerns with the half
built kit bringing craftsmanship into question. tho I am not worried and I
know That I may not be any better at the kit building.

1st things 1st I will be doing a thorough as i can inventory. try to organize
what i can as best i can. then i guess i will start small with the tail for close
inspection, any repairs needed or marked as scrap till each part already
built is completed woodwork and anything that can be done and set aside for
first assembly of the rolling air-frame hopefully before next winter

My thought is check things over real thoroughly. Look for signs that there was some glue "squeeze out" that would indicate there was an adequate amount of glue used during the build. Did the "1st" builder indicate what kind of glue was used for the construction? Looks, and sounds like a good head start! Keep us informed and ask questions if/when you have them. There are lots of folks here ready to help.
