On Monday 1/6 our HiMAX Birdog made its maiden flight. It was a beautiful first flight and she behaved very nicely. It was a cool calm winters day which provided some very smooth air. The Rotax 503 provided plenty of oomph to get me of the ground and I climbed easily up to around 2500ft for some general handling checks. All was as expected and I’ll need to add some trim tabs on the rudder and elevator (this one more for luxury   ). We’re lucky to have a nice plush grass strip which made the touch down nice and soft. I’m looking forward to many more hours aloft.

Congratulations! Looks great, flies great. The smart phone with the groundspeed; was that displaying in knots or statute miles? Again, congratulations on a lovely bird.
