Does anyone know the status of Great Plains Aircraft Engines.  Web searches show Steve Bennet died a few years ago and the links I have to their website now fail.  Is anyone else running that business now?

If not, who is supporting aero VW conversions now?  Anyone?

I would add the well known Aeroconversions, which is a division of Sonex Aircraft.  http://www.aeroconversions.com  Their engines are very well supported.  There are 80 and 100 hp models.

It is important to note that all of these companies' engines aren't really "conversions" per se.  They are indeed evolved from the VW technology but so far as I know none of them have any actually Volkswagen made parts in them.  These engines have evolved far beyond their automotive origins.

Great Plains has been around a long time and was operating quite recently.  Very likely it will be "back" quite quickly.

Im, not sure what is up with the great plains website but I had them on the phone 2 weeks ago. They are still very much in business and supporting VW conversions.
