Kansas Photo Flight

Saturday, April 24th provided another of those opportunities for a photo flight. Take off from K-50 near Rose Hill, KS was at 6:00, winds were light and the lowering sun cast strong shadows. Also, the low light seems to highlight the grasses making them a rich green.

This was a 1.4 hour local flight with the specific intent of photographing airports, fields, farms and other places of interest. The hope is, that you will find these photos representative of what I fly over in South Central Kansas and provide those of you living in different climates another opportunity to see what it is like where I live.

The photo subjects are identified by their captions, I hope that is a sufficient description.

We have no mountains, oceans, or large cities to look at, we do, however, have plenty of wide open spaces which can translate into emergency landing fields. (Been there, done that). Several photos had to be left out of this post but I think you will get the idea anyway.

Enjoy the photos.

Paul D. Fiebich

PS, I have only two more photos that are characteristic of the area, I will try to post them next.
