Great job on the Dead Stick landing!! One thing about 2-stroke engines, is you have to keep power in them at all times. Only gradually reduce power! It's not as much about shock cooling as it is about leaning the mixture and reducing the amount of oil to keep the engine lubricated, thus increasing heat and friction. I hope you get back in the air soon!!
