I fear that many have gone to the FB page. Personally I much prefer ETLB rather than trusting (or giving) all of our conversation and content to FB. Lots of info was lost forever when Yahoo closed down their groups a few years ago, so who's to guarantee the same wouldn't or couldn't happen with FB. Call me cynical I guess. I joined the MiniMAX FB group and have already been tempted to post an invitation for the MiniMAX family to come back here.

I promote ETLB on homebuiltairplanes.com any time there's a MiniMAX related post. To me both ETLB and HBA have value in their own way.

I think it would be wise to preserve the information in this site for future reference at minimum.
The FB minimax site should be informed about the value of this forum.

I thoroughly agree about informing the FB crowd about the extra facilities this site holds for anyone involved with 'maxes of all shapes and sizes. Oh, and Merry Christmas to everyone, along with a Healthy and Prosperous New Year!

I think you're right. The Mini-Max FB page is very active. There are people who post there that I've never seen on the ETLB forum.

Some of the FB people might not even know we exist? Dont worry about my post, this is important too.

I also follow the Airbike page. Little activity. Two active builders? Well that post anyways.
Thousands of followers, but think of it, "suggested group" pops up in someones news feed, "ooh cool", click follow. But just how "into it" are they really. Prolly allready moved onto something else.
I still feel, based on no fact at all, that all the active builders/flyers have aged out with no yung-uns to replace 'em.

And I already wished 'yall a Merry Christmas so you dont get another here : )

I check the site every day.  I have resumed working on my 1600R and will start posting project status this summer.  I'm working on a Briggs 993 conversion for the plane at this time.  I started on the plane in the summer of 1996 and stopped work in 1999.  Life (and work) got in the way.

You have the minimax ready to fly yet? We are waiting for the next video. This time make it a touch and go instead of a 360, LOL. It is a beautiful plane and needs to have you as pilot. Happy new year bud.
