I just got wondering in the last couple days if the 2-place Epic Sport MiniMAX has been completed? I just started on a 1100/1030 MiniMAX, so not wanting to start anything, just wondering if it is up and flying?

This information is a bit dated so may not be the most current. We've probably all seen that the Epic Sport has been under the status "waiting for DAR approval" for several years now. Several months ago I was talking to Dave of TEAM Minimax and he was interested in selling the business. By now he may have sold it. But in any case, at the time he said that the sale of the business included the Epic Sport prototype and that the aircraft had no engine installed in it. IIRC it had something to do with him selling the engine out of it to generate cash (perhpas related to his wife's illness, which, BTW the last time I talked to Dave she had turned a corner and was doing much better and Dave was "catching up" with the matters of the business and life. Again, this post is based on info that is several months old already).
So perhaps the sale of the engine from the prototype is the reason why it has basically stalled (no pun intended) several years ago.
The OP asked "is it up and flying". I've not really answered that but perhpas the above gives some insight as to why the project spent so long under the status "waiting on DAR...."

When we acquired the Mini-Max line, the Epic Sport model was included in the purchase but the Prototype was sold to someone in Florida who is working on finishing it up. We will eventually build a second Epic Sport so that we can actually flight test it prior to selling the plans or the kit but dont hold your breath on this one. It is a long ways down our priority list for the time being.
