Canopy Latch

I'm currently re-assembling my fuselage after having covered and painted, therefore this time I am using the proper AN locknuts.  It occurred to me that on the canopy latch if I tighten the bolts shown in section C-C that hold the locking cams, everything is clamped and the locking cams do not rotate. If I leave the bolts loose enough that the locking cams can rotate, then the bolts also rotate when opening and closing the latch and overtime will potentially loosen.  Am I missing something?

Correct, to alleviate this concern i assembled my canopy latch using drilled bolts and castle nuts with cotter keys. no chance of the rotation during opening and closing causing them to come loose that way.

When in doubt just use full throttle.... it might not help but it will end the suspense.
