After trying different methods to glue the leading edge of one wing, I came up with this idea for the other wing. I run two boards behind the nose ribs. I drill 1/8" holes near each rib, top and bottom, near the center but slightly towards the front. I use two washers because the big washer has too big an opening for the screw head (#6 2.5"). Looking inside, I have a much better fit on the nose robs than using rubber bands or bungees.
Using a hint provided by another builder, I pre-positioned the LE and drilled three small holes through it into the spar. I then cut the top off the nails. Once glue is applied, I set the LE onto the nails and it slides into position. The edge is stapled to the spar. Next I put the screw through washers and through the LE, screwing into the boards behind the nose ribs. Then the lower screws and finally clamp and staple the lower edge.
Ta DaH!!
