Have a look at those pneumatic rescue systems, there is less hassle to send them around and easier to maintain them.

Do you have any thoughts about this?

I believe this system would be perfect for all aircraft of MiniMax.

I agree that the weight, price, and service life of 15 years all look good.

I'm not sure if placing it right beside the propeller in this application is optimal...

The parachute on my nostalgia front engine dragster is deployed by a big spring. I got to say it takes a lot of effort to compress the deployment spring to get it all packed into the chute pack that measures about 10" X 10" X 8". The first thing out of the chute pack is a pilot chute that pulls out the rest of it. It "blooms" almost immediately at 100-ish MPH.

The one on my dragster probably isn't big enough for use on even an ultralight (it's the smallest full size car chute made by Stroud), but it did slow the dragster down enough to NOT run off the shut down area of the drag strip when a brake rod buckled.

Where the rocket finds is place its not so important, it's important to have one. And being able to sent the unit without a dangerous goods transport is not negligible !
